Solid tool, few minor points

I signed up for the annual plan last month after trying the free trial. The Figma to React feature was what really sold me. The integration with Figma worked well; it pulled in my designs without much hassle. Generating the components took a little longer than expected for complex layouts, but the outputted React code was quite usable with minimal tweaks needed for my project. Exporting the code was smooth. Customer support responded within a day when I had a question about a specific component's styling. Overall, it's a powerful tool, though I hope they speed up the generation for larger designs in future updates. Still, a good time-saver.

Consistently reliable code generation

I've been using Magic Patterns for about six months now, mostly for the UI component generator and sometimes the Figma to Tailwind exports. This last project, I needed a responsive design fast, and their AI delivered as usual. It's always been consistent in the quality of code it spits out, which is why I keep coming back. My first few uses were a bit of a learning curve, but now it's part of my workflow. Compared to other tools I tried, this one just feels more robust. The team plan I'm on also works great for collaboration.

Really helped with a landing page

So, I needed a landing page for this side gig I'm doing, and honestly, I'm not a pro coder. Used their landing page generator, and it was pretty straightforward. Got a decent-looking page in Tailwind CSS way faster than I would have on my own. It felt intuitive, like it knew what I was trying to do. Happy with how it turned out.

Good for quick React code

I used the UI component generator. It was fast. Exported to React easily. Saved me some time on a small project. The code was clean enough. No issues getting it set up.

Can I actually cancel my subscription whenever, or am I locked in for a year if I pick monthly billing?

M Mark 1 month ago
You can cancel anytime, even if you're on a monthly plan. It's not like some places that make you jump through hoops.

I canceled my monthly plan once, it was super easy. No issues at all.

I'm working on a project with a small team. Is there a way for multiple people to use the same account or is it all individual?

C Cleo L. 1 month ago
Pretty sure they have team plans available. I saw it mentioned somewhere, so you should be able to get one for your team.

Yeah, they do have team plans. It's not just single user stuff, which is good for agencies or dev shops.

Does anyone know if they have a free trial? Don't want to commit if it's not what I need.

F Faith J. 1 month ago
They do! You can definitely try it out before you buy. I used the free trial for a week or two to make sure it fit my workflow.

Thinking of trying this out, but kinda tight on cash right now. Is there any way to get a discount? Like a promo code or something?

E Elena 1 month ago
Yeah, they usually have an early adopter thing or a student discount if you qualify. Also, switching to annual billing saves you 20% right off the bat, which is pretty sweet.

Check around for referral links too, sometimes people post those and you can get 10-15% off. I think I found one on Twitter once.

How does Magic Patterns compare to something like v0.dev? I've been using that a bit but looking for alternatives.

N Neil Foster 4 weeks ago
Magic Patterns feels a lot more polished for Figma users, especially with the direct export to React/Tailwind. V0 is cool for quick ideas but MP goes deeper into component generation for production code.

I'd say MP is better if you're really trying to automate your design system. V0 is more for getting snippets, I think.
